High Desert Center, Inc. Mission Statement

PROGRAM MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT
The mission of High Desert Center, Inc. is to assure a supportive, growth-enhancing and culturally sensitive environment for at-risk individuals and families in order to develop and maintain effective recovery and life management skills.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
High Desert Center provides a drug free environment for the Outpatient Alcohol and/or Other Drug and Alcohol Treatment as well as our Perinatal Intensive Day Treatment Program. Outpatient treatment shall be a minimum of two groups (ninety minutes) per week and one individual session per month (sixty minutes). Day Treatment shall be four groups per week for a minimum of ninety minutes and a maximum of3 hours per day. Individual sessions shall be one time per month (sixty minutes).
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Each client shall have individual problem lists which set goals for recovery and shall be reviewed every 30 days to accurately measure progress. The objectives shall be working towards total abstinence and self sufficiency. Clients shall set goals with their Counselor and shall be able to measure their progress in recovery and life management skills. An example would be to remain substance free for a period of 90 days while establishing a plan and progress for better physical, emotional and mental health. In addition, they shall create plans to obtain and maintain suitable and drug free home environment and either educational goals or vocational goals to work towards independence and self sufficiency.

PROGRAM EVALUATION
Each program shall have a written evaluation plan where clients assess their experience with the program and staff. Sufficient program data shall be collected to provide a meaningful assessment of the client's progress and the program's ability to provide the client with the skills to meet their program objectives.
